Camel Jockey (with three humps)
The Camel Jockey programmes are available by anonymous ftp from the server at
address 'ftp.unige.ch'. The programmes are in the subdirectory 'pub/soft/crystal/camel'.
The files contain source code, input files and documentation of two distinct
versions of the Camel programmes.
- The 1975 programme in file 'camel1975.txt' is that described in the 1975 reference below. It is a
suite of programmes written in a very standard FORTRAN for a 'mini'-computer
of the 1970's. It should be very easy to adapt to any modern computer.
- The 1977 programme (with three humps) is described in the 1977 reference below.
It is a programme written to be run as an integral part of the X-RAY 1972
system of programmes. Its treatment of absorption correction is more general
but is much more difficult to adapt due to its use of an X-RAY 1972 binary
data file and system calls.
