The V 3.0 Phase Identification Module

With the introduction of Interactive Phase Identification, MacPDF allows you to perform the final analytic operations of phase identifcation on the desktop -- with both rapidity and directness.

MacPDF does this with the V 3.0 Interactive Phase Identification Module which permits display and analysis of a diffractometer trace (acquired from the diffractometer as a text file) containing unknown phases to be identified.

Through a series of search and intensity subtraction operations component phases are identified and their intensities are removed from the trace leading to a list containing the analysis of the unknown which may then be saved and printed.

• V 2.2 with new features continues to provide General Boolean Search/Retrieval
