Dear Dr Shirley:

I am using Windows Me, and find that environment space cannot be increased
through the usual CONFIG.SYS file, which simply gets wiped clean on each
invocation of DOS.

However, if one right-clicks on the MS-DOS or CRYSFIRE icon placed on
the Windows desktop, chooses Properties, followed by Memory, then the
Initial Environment can be changed from Auto to a value - I simply chose
4096 as the largest available. CRYSFIRE now runs without a hitch.

Yours sincerely
